The weapons imports to South Africa is usually straightforward if the following points are taken into account:

• Check with your flight booking that you have chosen airline transported weapons.

• Submit your weapon at the corresponding airline.

 

Please send us the following documents and information:

• Copy of your flight Ticket                                     

• Copy of your passport + Original Passport             

• Copy of ownership for firearm + Original                

• Copy of Invitation letter

• INF3 Document  ( This document is the export and import document that you get from your customs office, this document proves that you are the owner of the Rifle / Weapon)​

 

We will send you a confirmation the need to bring in any case.

The following documents you need to have when entering this:

• Original air ticket and a copy

• Original weapons permit and a copy

• Passport and a copy

• Upon arrival at the airport in South Africa, first, pick up your luggage and go to the entry point. Please note that your weapon is not on the luggage treadmill, but is brought directly to the police station.

• You will be received by a team member of CARLO ENGELBRECHT SAFARIS at the terminal.

 

Together, go to the police station/gun control. We will assist you in completing the necessary documents.

• Since we have your personal information prior to arrival your, we will fill your entry documents and have everything prepared. As our guest, you only need to give your signature.

For hunting African game a minimum calibre of 7 mm is required. We recommend .375H & H or .300 Win.Mag.
